What is Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is simply a natural state of focus when you are intent upon a single thought or idea. It can happen to you when you read a book, for example, or watch a film or the flames in a fire. In fact, any situation where you are totally absorbed.
Although in a relaxed and comfortable state, a person in hypnosis is aware of everything around them, aware of themselves and their Therapist. In no sense do they "lose control".
Hypnotherapy is a reliable therapeutic tool used for fast and effective beneficial change and can help with many kinds of problems and issues. If you would like to know if hypnotherapy can help you please call us on 01553 766375 or email info@hypno-centre.co.uk
Some Questions and answers :

Does it always work? No. In the same way as all therapies, both medical and complementary, Hypnotherapy doesn't always work. However, it has brought help and relief to a great number of people throughout the world.
Will I lose control so that I do things I don't want to? No. You remain in control at all times.
What does it feel like to be hypnotised? If you are in a hypnotic state it is very unlikely that you will feel hypnotised just relaxed and calm.
Will I blurt out all my secrets? No. You remain in control and only say what you want to say.
How much treatment will I need? For long lasting results usually anything between 1 and 12 sessions depending on what you want to achieve. Your Therapist will discuss this with you before you start treatment. Sessions usually last about 50 minutes.
Is the fee value for money? As with anything in life you pay for what you get. At the lower end of the scale there are part-time therapists that work from home using the same fixed therapy no matter what the client needs, at the top end of the scale are Professional full time Hypnotherapists, with their own premises, who will spend hours preparing therapy that is personalised to the individual client.
How should I chose a Therapist? Naturally you need to know that your Therapist is a full time professional that is fully qualified, a member of a professional body and fully insured. However, a crucial element in Hypnotherapy is the relationship between the Client and the Therapist. For this reason an initial free session is valuable as it is important that you feel that you can " get on" with each other.
